We help children and teens with differing needs become fitter, stronger and healthier
Greystones Co Wicklow

Our coaches are highly experienced in working with children of all abilities, tailoring every programme to meet physical, emotional and social needs.

Sessions are movement-based and playful, making fitness enjoyable while developing essential life skills.

Every achievement is recognised and celebrated, helping children stay motivated and proud.

Small groups create a welcoming, supportive environment where no child feels left out.

At Lifting Legends, we believe every child deserves a place where they can move, play and feel proud of their progress.
Founded by Eoin and the team behind EMF Lifting and Laughing, we bring over a decade of experience supporting children and teens with differing needs through adapted fitness, therapy and fun.
Families across Ireland have already seen children transform, growing stronger, more independent and more confident than ever. Now, for the very first time, we’re bringing this unique approach to Greystones, Co. Wicklow.
We specialise in working with children and teens with differing needs such as:
Autism
Down Syndrome
Cerebral Palsy
Dyspraxia
Spina Bifida
Sensory differences
Anxiety
And other differing needs
More than a fitness centre, we are a safe, inclusive community where every child belongs.

Four simple steps to help your child begin their journey to strength, confidence and independence.
Fill out the quick form to reserve a place for your child. We’ll be in touch as soon as a space is available ahead of our November 2025 opening.
Before sessions begin, we’ll meet with you and your child to understand their needs, abilities and goals. This allows us to create a plan that’s tailored to them.
Your child will take part in 30-minute classes with no more than 4 children per group (1-to-1 available if needed). Small sessions provide individual attention while encouraging teamwork and social interaction.
Through regular sessions focused on strength, balance, coordination and movement games, your child will build physical skills while also growing in confidence, independence and pride that extends beyond the gym.
Your child’s journey to strength and confidence starts here. Take the first step today.
Real families. Real progress. Real smiles.
Each new member begins with a 1 to 1 assessment, where we look at their physical, adaptive and cognitive needs and preferences. From this, we create a plan tailored to support their progress and confidence. We also use this PAC profile assessment method to determine their "group readiness". This allows us to best recommend a small group option for them if we determine that it the best fit at the time.
Sessions are fun based and movement centred with a blend of strength training, mobility and superhero power developing.
Each class runs for 30 minutes and includes up to 4 children. One-to-one sessions are available if needed, but our goal is always to help every child feel comfortable in a small group setting as soon as possible.
There is no minimum age. Every child has the chance to become a Lifting Legend.
We offer a range of membership options depending on how often your child attends.
No. We understand that getting a diagnosis can take time. If you’re concerned about your child’s movement or fitness, we’re here to help.
Yes. Parents are welcome to watch as long as children are comfortable with it. We also provide a parents’ room where you can relax and unwind during the session.
Domiciliary Care Allowance (DCA) is a monthly payment designed to help with the extra costs of caring for a child with a severe disability or deffering needs. Many families choose to use part of this payment to fund supports that help their child's development, such as therapies, specialised activities and programmes like Lifting Legends.
Because Lifting Legends is a structured, supportive exercise and skills programme for children and teens with differing needs, parents often see it as one of the ways they use DCA to support their child's overall development and participation.
Lifting Legends is not a clinical physiotherapy or occupational therapy service, so sessions are not usually covered in the same way as appointments with a CORU-regi9stered physio, OT or SLT. However, some health insurance plans and cash-back policies may offer a contribution towards certain "health and lifestyle" or "sports/fitness" costs, depending on the provider and the exact plan.
If you would like to explore this, these steps can help:
- Check your plan's Table of Benefits (or member area) for sections on "therapies", "day-to-day benefits" or "health and lifestyle / sports benefits".
- Contact your insurer and ask directly whether they offer any contribution towards structured developmental or therapy-supporting programmes for children, or towards sports/fitness clubs or gym-type memberships for kids.
- Let them know what Lifting Legends is: a structured, small-group programme focused on movement skills, strength, coordination, regulation and confidence for children with differing needs.
- If helpful, your child's existing therapist (for example, a speech and language therapist) may be able to confirm in writing that Lifting Legends is part of your child's broader support plan, which some families find useful when speaking with insurers or revenue.
Every insurance policy if different, and approval is always at the insurer's discretion, so we can't guarantee any rebate. We are happy to provide detailed receipts and, where appropriate, work with your child's therapist to give you the documentation you need to make the strongest possible case to your insurer or when seeking other forms of financial relief.
